Victor Peralta is a Katoomba based Artist and the Curatorial and Exhibitions Manager at Gallery ONE88 Fine Arts Katoomba where he is part owner and director. Victor's works hang in many private collections in Australia and internationally.

Predominantly a portrait painter, Victor’s preferred medium are oil paints although he is also proficient with watercolour and a master with charcoal. Drawing inspiration from the old and modern masters such as Rembrandt and John Singer Sargent. With several submissions to the Archibald Portrait Exhibition Prize, in 2009 Victor entered the Amnesty International Art competition with a five (5) Portrait Piece entry which subsequently won first prize.

After an unsuccessful 2010 Archibald entry, a portrait of Michael Smith – editor of Drum Media, the piece was accepted into the Real Refuses exhibition at the TAP Gallery Darlinghurst. The entry taking first prize led to Victor’s first solo exhibition titled Exploration of the Feminine. The body of works included over 100 individual pieces with over half the collection selling within the first week of the show.

In 2011 Victor’s entry to the Archibald of controversial media personality Derryn Hinch made print media news across the state – page three of Sydney Morning Herald. Victor painted a second portrait of Derryn, which now hangs in Derryn’s residence in Melbourne and the piece entered into the Archibald a large 3m diptych, hangs in the residence of Chanel, Derryn’s partner.
