Marianne Walsh

Marianne received formal art training at the National Art School in Sydney, majoring in Sculpture. She was often referred to as ‘that girl who can draw’ despite never really being taught.

She has been an art teacher, set up a graphic design company with her partner and opened a gallery in Leura. throughout all of which her drawing never stopped as she continued to draw on the side for both clients and for herself.

Marianne enjoys working on a large format, and now she works in oil as distinct from acrylic so the surface of her work becomes looser. She is working towards her second solo exhibition which she hopes will take place at the end of 2017.
